What is Your Eternal Essence?

The people who I am close to have something in common. Integrity and the conviction to back it up.
Integrity is staying true to your internal moral and ethical principles. Conviction is holding firm to your internal moral and ethical principles. Which requires a lot of confidence in our society today. Certain factions of our society don’t respect integrity. When they meet a person with integrity, conviction and the confidence to back it up? They know they can’t control you. They want to control you. Certain factions of our society are so hypocritical. Anything goes with them and then when they are called on their lack of consistency here, YOU become judgemental. Which is just deflection. Just know that when someone does that to you, you’ve already won the argument. That’s all they’ve got. “The anything goes mentality” = lack of integrity. So they put it on you. They can’t defend their view because they lack integrity which connects them to what drives them deep deep down. They haven’t connected to their internal essence. And trust me, your Sassy Bitch knows her internal essence. Her integrity is her passion, drive and truth. Because she knows her eternal essence, she will not compromise herself.
Because I am in tune with my eternal essence, I do a lot of out of the box things. I’ll call you on your crap and will let you go if you don’t appreciate me. I also have no problem side stepping away from “shit,” people who do things to hurt me or other people. I will tell them politely why they will not be a part of my life and I’m done. If I see them in a social setting I will be polite. But that’s it. I’ll share my time with the people who make me feel good. So why this little tangent?
I was surprised the other day when a friend of mine did the same thing. Because of my view on a person. (For the purpose of this article we will call this person Bad Karma) I was taken aback because this can be such a lonely place. Confidently fighting for your integrity with conviction. Most of the time? People will tell you you’re wrong because they feel the need to defend the other person. If they are your true friend they will see through your past actions and fairness that they should listen to you. I’m not one to fly off the wall about another person. If I do? That person has earned my disloyalty. I’m like a lawyer laying out the case: Here’s why they are guilty. Nothing but the facts and why this doesn’t fly. If I can’t trust them I back it up. A side note: this scares a lot of people. A lot of people can’t handle the truth because that means they have to face it, or don’t want to rock the boat. If you don’t rock the boat when needed, things will fall apart. If something is important to you you will have no problem rocking the boat because you want to keep moving forward.
Back to my friend who startled me. To make a long story short, he too is an acquaintance of Bad Karma. After laying out why I don’t trust Bad Karma a few months ago, he started noticing what Bad Karma was doing and saw that I was right. Bad Karma on his very own has proven my case with his actions. That’s the funny thing about calling people on their crap. They have a choice. They can keep on with their garbage or shape up. Either way? You prove your case and release “shit” from your life.
True friends have your back when you tell them someone or something won’t fly with you. They will have your back because they trust you and your opinion. Conviction, integrity and the confidence to stay true to your internal moral and ethical principles will earn their trust. First you need to earn it for yourself. By fighting for yourself and what you will not tolerate in your life. By having the confidence to stay glued to your eternal essence. By being fair and true to you? You earn trust and trust will love you back.
And THAT is good karma.
